UNO Towing Tank

The UNO Towing Tank is up and running again. Although the tank itself suffered no damage from the 16in of floodwater during Hurricane Katrina most of our electronic and electric equipment was destroyed. With the help of generous donors, FEMA and our dedicated facilities director George Morrissey and his staff we are proud to announce that our towing tank is once again fully serving in the education of our students, in our research and our maritime customers. With new electronic controls for our towing carriage, new hydraulics for our wavemaker and new measuring equiment we operate a modern scientific research facility.
